Hello people!
Im happy, cos NYCO Concert '08 has achieved full house! Arent you happy too? HAHA! But we still have to solve some ticketing matters.
Firstly, to make the collection of ticket payment easier, can everyone cooperate and bring the full amount (of the no. of tics you've ordered) on this coming TUESDAY, 8th Jul? We will collect at the end of dazu. I'll be making announcements regarding concert matters, so please be prepared to stay back ok!
Next, for those who have friends/family/relatives who wanna come badly but havent gotten tickets, Mrs Ee has allowed people to come and watch our rehearsal at SCH in the afternoon. I'll check out if they still have to pay for their admission and update you guys about it on Tuesday. Please only make them come if they're REALLY keen cos it's gonna be very informal.
And due to the overwhelming ticket sales, Anglican High School and Raffles Instituition couldnt get tickets for our concert. Lin Lao Shi would like to make the entire orchestras of both schools (if im not wrong) to come and watch our concert. In other words, they'll be coming to watch our rehearsal at SCH. So be mentally prepared to have audience during our rehearsal. (:
Okay, last but not least, I'd like to urge everyone to REALLY start giving 100% attention to pracs so as to ensure effective practices. I know it may be mean to say this, but please, stop chit-chatting about how blue the sky is and start giving in all your best in the subsequent practices. If you still have songs or parts tht u're not very confident with, PLEASE practise and at least make sure you dont hun4! Im sure none of us would like people to laugh at NYCO's standards right? As quoted from Xu Lao Shi, if you want to perform your 100%, you'll have to practise 120%, cos 20% will always be eaten up once you're on stage. Yup, so jiayou everybody! DO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR INSTUMENTS AND YOURSELVES!! LET'S MAKE THIS OUR BEST EVER CONCERT!!! :D
Your beloved president,
Sheila
